ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Senator Saeed Ghani has said that the policies of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) government are against women as the incidents of violence against women are on the rise in its tenure.
According to a statement issued, he said Qandeel Baloch’s murder has shook the nation and women in particular as the girl had pleaded the interior minister to provide her security which was not provided to her and thus facilitated her murderers.
Ghani said incidents of violence against women have increased in PML-N government and several cases of murders of women have been reported in recent months. Acid throwing and torture on women have also been on the rise during the incumbent government, Ghani added.
He said that PML-N does not have any respect for law and people involved in Model Town massacre are roaming free. He said that stringent punishments have to be awarded for crimes against women.
