ISLAMABAD: The federal government has directed the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government to evacuate thousands of people from the areas along the Working Boundary after repeated violations of ceasefire by India.
Sources said that the decision to this effect was taken in a high profile meeting on Tuesday at the Prime Minister Secretariat – with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the chair – in the wake of civilians’ killings by India shelling from across the border. The meeting decided to start making preparations to shift people to safer places, added sources.
