ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is likely to chair a meeting of the federal ministers and the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leaders of today.
As per details, the issue of inquiry commission over Panama Papers will be discussed in this meeting. The ministers will brief the prime minister about their contacts with the opposition parties. Consultations will be made on Panama Leaks commission during the meeting.
Legal team will brief the prime minister on the matters related to inquiry commission. Nawaz will also be informed about Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) prospective protest program. The prime minister on Tuesday returned to Pakistan after a private visit to United Kingdom.
He left for London last week for a medical check amid a debate in Pakistan on Panama Papers, with the PTI threatening to mount a protest march on Raiwind. Finance Minister Ishaq Dar will hold a meeting with opposition leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah to discuss the matter of Panama leaks.
