ISLAMABAD: Turkish Land Forces General Saleh Zaki Colak called on the National Security Adviser Lt Gen (r) Nasser Khan Janjua on Wednesday.
The adviser praised the Turkish for their recent role and thanked the Turkish for supporting Pakistan’s NSG membership.
He briefed the commander of the Turkish Land Forces on Pakistan’s activities to promote regional peace and stability which was extremely important for sustainable economic and social development of regional countries.
Janjua highlighted the significance of Kashmir to the Pakistan-India relations. He said that the way India’s handling of Kashmir by force will affect regional stability and world peace.
He underlined that the world community needs to intervene to ensure that the situation does not get worse. He reiterated that there is a dire need to resolve the dispute of Kashmir according to UN Resolution.
He insisted that Kashmir should be used as a “Key to Peace” to ease this dangerous “Flash Point”.
General Colak lauded the sacrifices of Pakistan Army and the people in war against terrorism.
He acknowledged the ongoing efforts being made by Pakistan and its army to fight against terrorism.
He also thanked the Janjua for his briefing and both sides agreed to continue their endeavors to bring a durable peace in the region.
