LAHORE: Superintendent of Police (SP) Muhammad Ilyas was gunned down in Nawan Killi area of Quetta on Wednesday along with three family members. A passerby was also injured in the attack.
According to Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Abdul Razzaq Cheema, the SP was killed when three armed men on a motorcycle intercepted his car and opened fire, killing him along with his wife, son, and granddaughter. The killers ran away from the scene immediately.
Frontier Corps reached the scene and started the investigation.
Other than the targets of the attack, a passerby was also injured who was then shifted to Civil Hospital for medical treatment.
